Social Studies Honor Society is a service organization comprised of those students who are passionate about the social sciences, and whose grades in courses relating to these subjects reflect that.

Primarily student-run, the organization sets out to promote the appreciation of history and of the patriotic efforts of U.S. troops among Morris Hills' population as well as that of local communities. Social Studies Honor Society also strives to fulfill its members' thirst for new historical information and to keep the student body at Morris Hills informed about current events relating to politics.

The society's ultimate goal is to preserve valuable history for the enjoyment of future generations, and to celebrate it at present.
